I Do Not Want Fries With That
After getting gassed up, I pulled Agatha, that's my cab, into the awning shade at the 7-11. It was a Thursday afternoon and the hot sun beat down on us like a hammer. No other cabbies were about, so I had the shadow basically to myself. And while I was waiting, I kicked back with a Courtney Crumrin comic. Three o'clock on another long day. Or so it seemed.
About half way down the page—Courtney was getting herself in trouble—a shadow crossed the passenger's side door, it opened, and a guy slid in. I listened to the door close and decided that this was an okay time to take a fare.
But something felt off, like the dude was wearing the wrong co

The phone rang. Vex let the machine get it.
"Hey, it's your dad. Now, I know some words were said—" That was all she needed to hear before she knew she could ignore it. She brushed her teeth, combed her hair, and corrected her hastily done makeup while she listened to him ramble. The concentration it took to produce a recognizable Eye of Isis was all that kept Vex from walking into the living room, picking up the phone, and hanging up on him.
"—would you pick up the phone, Vicks, I know you're there." A long pause followed; Vex leaned out of the bathroom. "Okay, okay, I get it. You're upset. Just—well, if you get over it—give your old da

Also, llamas. The badges certainly caught me by surprise, so we'll see where this weird stuff goes.
As an update to my last post Black Hat Magick has now been completed. Anyone who wants to can read it from the beginning to the end.
I should probably make an update for Volume 13 of Mill Vexations.
It's been a rough year so far, lost my job, so things have gotten a little bit odd. Still trucking out here, however, glad to see everyone.
Alright, so I have a new story out. Something to help people along who are waiting for the next few months of Vexations.
It starts out with a six-part webcomic miniseries to warm up the whole affair called Do AIs Dream? All about Elaine's AI friend, Hadaly.

And then it jumps immediately into the story. I will be publishing twice a week, one chapter a week, until the first novel is done: The Case of the Dread Vote.

Just released Waking the Stones, much anticipated season finale for Vexations to give me a break during the summer while I write the remaining four booklets. Take some time, perhaps, but it'll be a strange summer at least.
Things are really coming to a head in the series. I've got one publisher in Canada that I'm trying hard to keep the attention of; maybe there'll be another comic book store to carry the books in Phoenix, AZ; and finally I am going to try to finish lettering the comic soon and carry it to print!
Good times. Let me know if thour't keep
I read your entry in Wen-M's journal. Think you might want to take a look over at my dA writing? You might like it, and I'm always looking for a new audience. ^-^
